How do Mail-in services work?
Mail-ins are an option for customers to send in a pair of their own shoes to get customized like one of the designs available on this site. With this option, customers will be required to fill out a contact form to begin the Mail-in customization process. Make sure to tell me exactly what type of shoe you wish to get customized. If your Mail-in request is accepted, a time table and price will be discussed and if you approve, you will be sent an invoice. Once your payment is complete, you are responsible for shipping the shoes to me as soon as possible. Make sure your shoes are clean before you send them. They need to be in good condition. Please do not send in a pair of old beat up shoes. I will not customize them and you will be responsible for return shipping. When the customs are complete on appropriate shoes, the business is responsible for return shipping.

How durable is the paint used for customization?
Angelus leather paint is used for customization. This paint is very durable. Just like with the original factory paint, normal wear and tear will happen if you wear your shoes frequently. A sealer is also used to further protect the paint. Please keep in mind that wear and tear will happen over time just like wearing regular shoes. Unless you are careful, deep scuffs and stains may occur and damage your custom shoes. Please be careful while wearing your customs to help them last longer.
Will you copy a design and customize my shoes?
No, I will not copy someone else's artwork. The same applies to copyrighted characters, shows, themes, etc.
How do I care for my custom shoes?
To keep your shoes looking their best, please be careful while wearing them. Sometimes dirt and stains are unavoidable. In order to clean the leather parts, simply use a damp cloth or soft bristle brush with gentle soap and try to avoid suede and tapestry areas. To clean suede and tapestry areas, wipe them off with your hands or a soft bristle brush. Try not to use water on these areas because it may make the material look ragged and worn. If using water is unavoidable, try to spot-clean the area with warm soapy water. To clean soles, use gentle soap and scrub with a toothbrush or medium bristle brush.
To keep your shoes looking great, spray them with water and stain repellent, so liquids will roll right off your shoes. Also, never store your shoes in direct sunlight because sunlight can cause damage to leather and fade the colors over time.
How do I care for/wash my hand dyed socks?
I recommend washing your socks BEFORE you wear them to prevent bold colors from rubbing off onto lighter shoes. For the first TWO washes, wash your socks separate from other items. Wash on the normal cycle with warm water and gentle laundry detergent. Tumble dry on medium heat, separate from other items and don't use a dryer sheet. Do not iron. It's important to follow the directions on the first two washes to prevent your socks from bleeding onto other items in the wash. Bright, bold colors are the worst to bleed. For the remaining washes, wash with other items on normal cycle with cold water using gentle laundry detergent, then let them air dry. Over time, colors may fade.
